In 2014, I finally convinced my parents to purchase me a guitar, and ever since then, whenever anyone has asked me why I'm playing the guitar, I've always replied, "Because it looks great to hold a guitar in class." Having been the only person at school with a guitar, I never felt particularly motivated to practice regularly. A new music teacher came along and requested me to play my guitar, and when he started playing, I understood how much I was missing and how much cooler a guitar can be than what I had been experiencing up until that point. First, he schooled me in the fundamentals of music—notes, chords, rhythm, etc. and then I diligently put in hours of practice time every day to become a competent guitarist. Because of the foundation, he laid for me, I was able to study songs independently and perform at numerous school events, where I could finally demonstrate my abilities. Even though I don't think of myself as a guitar maestro, I can confidently state that through years of practice and extensive understanding of music, I've built a solid foundation upon which to build.
My Guitar Journey

This here is my journey into the world of not just listening to music but playing it and the first-ever musical instrument I decided to learn.
